Bird of Paradise Convergence Quilt - Part 4

I got the borders on the 2 Bird of Paradise Convergence quilts today and they are now starting to take on their own looks. I've looked at both of them and so far I still can't pick a favorite. I like the first one which has the wonderful teal Moda botanical marble fabric which is no longer being made. I love this fabric for its wonderful depth.

The second one has a nice richness to it with the darker border and the deeper orange batik fabric.

So do you have a preference at this point in time?

They are both fantastic! I love the teal Moda fabric. Perhaps I am leaning towards that one. I must try this pattern. It looks amazing!

Wow, you're right. They have taken on their own looks. The Bontanicals one shows off the bottom left of the convergence, vs. the other really draws your eye to the upper left details. At first I thought I liked the Bontanicals one best, but the way the eye is drawn to into focus on the other makes the orange and the bird of paradise fabric says, "you'll remember me".

It'll be interesting to see how quilting them influences the final product too -- they are a wonderful pair. Hope you've had fun doing a quilt "just for you" :-)

They are both beautiful. It took me a while to decide, but I like the top one best. I'm looking forward to seeing the quilting!
